Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 July 2026
In plain language: these tools are free and provided as they are. They are good at hitting a file size or a pixel dimension. They cannot promise that a government office, university or employer will accept your document — only that office can decide that.
1. What this site provides
TinyFileLab offers free utilities that process files inside your web browser. No account is required and no payment is taken. You may use the tools for personal or commercial purposes.
2. Your responsibility for your own files
You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to process them. Because the tools run on your device and nothing is uploaded, we have no ability to inspect, moderate, recover or delete anything you work on.
Always keep your original file. Compression is lossy by design: the output is a new file, and the original cannot be reconstructed from it.
3. Official documents and application photos
Several tools here are used to prepare photos and scans for passport, visa, examination and government applications. Please read this section before relying on them.
- The dimensions and size limits offered are taken from published requirements, but requirements change and vary by office. Always check the specification printed on your own form.
- The tools handle geometry and file size only. They do not assess pose, expression, head coverage, lighting, background colour, shadows, glasses or any other compliance rule.
- A file produced here that meets the stated dimensions may still be rejected by the reviewing authority for reasons outside this site's control.
- Nothing on this site is legal or immigration advice.
4. No warranty
The tools are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that a tool will be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose, and we do not guarantee any particular output quality.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, including lost or corrupted files, missed deadlines, or rejected applications. Your sole remedy if a tool does not work for you is to stop using it.
6. Advertising
This site is funded by advertising served by third parties. We do not endorse advertised products and are not responsible for the content of advertisements or the sites they lead to. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, redistribute it as your own service, or use it to process material you have no right to. Since processing is local, ordinary use imposes no load on us — but automated scraping or republishing of the site itself is not permitted.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated; the current version always appears on this page with its date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent via our contact page.
